Easy Honey Ginger Grilled Salmon Recipe

Grilled salmon is part of the diet craze lately and with good reason. It’s high in protein, lean and delicious!

Preparing salmon needn’t be a difficult task. In fact, grilling salmon is quite easy and can be made in any number of ways.

This terrific recipe will add some sweetness and mouth-watering flavors to the salmon and can be made right on your indoor Foreman Grill. It’s perfect for apartment dwellers or when firing up the outdoor grill is just too much work.

For best results, find some nice salmon filets at your local grocery store that aren’t too thick or too big. When using an indoor contact grill, smaller pieces will work better.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ cup orange juice
  • 1 green onion chopped

Instructions
 

  • In a shallow baking dish or ziploc bag, combine soy sauce, garlic powder, honey, ginger, orange juice and green onion. Mix well.
  • Reserve a small portion in a cup to be used later.
  • Add salmon fillets and let marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Preheat your Foreman Grill for at least 5 minutes with the lid closed. Use high setting if you have it.
  • Add salmon fillets and close lid.
  • Grilling time will be approximately 5-8 minutes. Test for doneness by using a fork. Fish will flake easily when done.
  • Add remaining marinade during last minute of grilling.

    I had put the foreman grill in the back of my pantry. Forgot about it. Then I rediscovered it and I’m glad I did. I love all the recipes on the foreman website. I’ve made scrumptious steak and burgers, fabulous fish and skewered shrimp, and even chicken. I don’t typically care for chicken, but with these recipes, it’s back on our menu again. This makes my hubby happy again. Happy hubby, happy live.
